TUMBLING BLOCKS This quilt belongs to Mrs. Estella (Instant) Sharpe, and was made by her grandmother, Sarah Chown. The material used was men's silk ties, and the resulting blocks are artfully arranged to provide very interesting areas of colour. The quilt does not show much wear, though Mrs. Sharpe tells me she does not make use of it now. Dated, 1995
