Don't Get Hurt! child safety activity day at Napanee District Sec- ondary School on Sept. 27 from 9 a.mi to 3 p.m, They're getting the mes sage out early because stu- dent enrollment is restricted to 100 and pre-registra- tion is' requir- luly,18.'The cost is $5 per child or $10 per family The safety day will fea- ture eight different stations where students from junior kindergarten to Grade 8 can learn a variety of safety skills, organizer Valerie Smith and public relations officer, says. They will be divided into age groups for the day. "Each station leader knows how'to adapt the message - to the age group," Smith says. "If they come away with eight messages, its a successful day," she adds,.Smith sees the safety day as an impor~ tant one. "It's a very impor- tant message for everyone The children learn how to halp siblings and also inter- act with adults," Smith says.
