The Amherst Island Emergency First Response Team [EFRT) The Amherst Island Emergency First Response Team was established in 1990 under the Ontario Ministry of Health First Response Team Program. Our team is comprised of l i volunteer members, trained in advanced CPR and First Aid. They are dispatched by 9i i and work in conjunction with the Kingston Ambulance Service. The 1995 Telephone Directory is a small part of our campaign to raise money for thepurchase of a cardiac defibrillator. This machine can be used to restart the heart of a person in cardiac arrest - it also acts as a monitoring tool and records vital information for the ambulance attendants. We would like to thank all the businesses who purchased advertising in our phone book for helping offset the costs of printing.
