These quilts are entries to the Centennial Quilt Competition organized by Grey Bruce Area, on behalf of the Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario, in honour of the 100th Anniversary of the Women's Institute. Viewers to the Quilt Show are invited to participate in the "People's Choice" Award. There are three important facets to the Museum that reflect Ontario's rural heritage: 1) A series of FARMSTEADS traces the evolution of domestic and agricultural life on the farm: 2) The CROSSROADS COMMUNITY features theme buildings which represent services available to the Ontario rural community: 3) A series of DISPLAY BUILDINGS exhibit one of the largest agricultural equipment collections in North America Comfortable walking shoes and clothing suited to outdoor weather are highly recommended. Benches, washrooms and drinking fountains are conveniently locat- ed. Exhibits are wheelchair accessible.
