THE INTERCESSIONS. O Blessed Lord, who was born of a woman, we bring to you our prayers of thanksgiving and praise. Open our hearts in love, to know your presence and to heed your guidance in ways of justice, peace and truth: For the peace of the world; for the needs of the poor, the homeless and the refugee; for those who suffer because of tyranny and hostility; let us pray to the Lord: (Silence) Lord, in your mercy; Hear our prayer. For our nation; for the Queen and the Royal family; for the leaders of our nations; for those who lead us in the commercial, industrial and cultural life of this land, we pray to the Lord: (Silence) Lord, in your mercy: Hear our prayer. For the work of the Women's Institute throughout the nation, and especially here in North Pembrokeshire, For those happinesses shared, for those opportunities presented, for the friendships we have forged, for all that lies before us, we pray to the Lord: (Silence) Lord in your mercy: Hear our prayer For those who are unable to be with us today, through illness and incapacity; for those who share our thankfulness that they may be richly blessed as part of the Women's Institute, we pray to the Lord: (Silence) Lord in your mercy: Hear our prayer. For those who have gone before us, for those who have welcomed and encouraged us, for those whose love and kindness meant so much to us; for all whose memories we treasure, we pray to the Lord: (Silence) Lord in your mercy: Hear our prayer. Dros wayd y Teulu - For Family Life Hollalluog a Thrugarocaf Dduw, a'n dysgaist trwy dy Fab Iesu Grist i'th alw'n Dad; atolygwn iti fendithio pob teulu, fel y bo ni rieni a phlant fyw ynghyd mewn cariad a chyd -- ddeall, ac yrn mhob peth ufuddhau i' th ewellys sanctaidd. (Silence) Arglwydd, yn dy drugaredd: Gwrando ein gweddi. Eternal and ever-loving God, as we ask you to hear these prayers, we seek the warmth of your Holy Spirit, that we may come to love and serve you in every moment of our lives, as we learn to love and someone another. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Ma Stewart Collect. (from Canada ). Keep us 0 Lord from pettiness; let us be large in thought, in word and deed. Let us be done with fault finding and leave off self-seeking. May we put away all pretence and meet each other face to face, without self pity and without prejudice. May we never be hasty in judgement, and always generous. Let us take time for all things; make us grow calm, serene, gentle. Teach us to put into action our better impulses, straightforward and unafraid.
