Events Continued from Page 25 O In Gore Park: A Country Music Festival Jamboree provided by the Golden Horse Shoe Country Music Association. They will provide the best local country music talent from 12:30 to 4:30 pm. 9 The Country Jamboree on July tst will be the kick- off event tor the Summer Concert Series and this will be the first of an expanded program of concerts run- ning lrom July to the end of August every Thursday. Friday and Saturday lrom 12:15 pm. to 2:15 pm. This is a jointly sponsored program with The Hamil- ton Spectator, the Hamilton Musicians Guild and other sponsors. This year's series will feature theme weeks including Dixieland, Contemporary, Jazz, Country, Big Band and Light Classical. Talent tor' this contest will feature the best local musical talent. - 4. The Great Gore Park Fall Sidewalk Sale and Mldnlght Madness (Septembei/October 1989) This Sidewalk Sale/Midnight Madness will be similar to the Spring event with activities provided in the park during the Midnight Madness. The date is to be announced. 5. Festltalla In Gore Park (September) The Downtown Hamilton B.I.A. will be involved in some of the activities at this well-established and unique festival. Activities will focus in the Gore Park area as well as special promotions and displays of participating retailers and restaurants. Details to be announced. 6. The Great Gore Park Annual Pumpkin Patch (October) This year, the pumpkin patch promotion will be a joint- ly sponsored event with CKOC. It will take place on Saturday, October 21st from. noon to 5 pm. and will be featuring Broom Hilda with face-painting for chil- dren plus a wide selection ol pumpkins at a special price with your Downtown Pumpkin Patch.
