In later years 8.8.4 was on Lot 55, Concession 9. The bracketed names given for some of the schools are alternative . names by which these schools were known. It will be noted that 8.8.2, 8.8.15 and 8.8.17 are not listed. In John Johnston's letter of February 16, 1859, he says that these sections had been too small and had been broken up and attached to other sections. 8.8.2 was attached partly to 8.8.1 Thomasburg and partly to 8.8.5 Chapman. 8.8.15 had been joined with 8.8.15 Bogart and 8.8.17, which was a union school with part of Tyendinaga, had been attached to 8.8.10 Moneymore. A later Section 17 was formed at Sulphide in 1908, the schoolhouse being built in 1909.
