I? The Institute had been very supportive of Albury Cemetery from 1913 until 1958. For many years Mrs. Earl Weese planted and tended a h.I. flower bed at the cemetery and M.I. ladies collected for the cemetery each year and worked in co-operation with the Cemetery Board. In 1956 the W.I. donated $50.00 toward the purchase of a lawn mower. Then for years nothing was done to help the Cemetery Board until 1987 when Rednersville W.I. donated $500.00 to Albury Cemetery and also $200.00 to Grove Cemetery. ‘T' To raise money for all their many projects Rednersville M.i. members have cheerfully under- taken various flund-raising schemes. These included rummage sales, euchre parties, pot luck dinners and quiltings, bake sales, selling tickets on donated articles, auctioneering plants, food and miscellaneous articles, in 1968 a turkey supper for 150 at $2.00 each, catering, and since 1982 a pie booth at the Ameliasburgh Fair. Then in 1984 the Arts and Crafts Fairs were begun by Prince Edward District Women's Institute with all the branches assisting. Rednersville has served the evening meal each year and found it a good way to raise money. Rednersville W.I. has always had a large membership. It reached the 100 mark in 1929-30. In 1945-46 the membership was 79; in 1955-56 it was 73. The annual membership fee at that time was 25¢. Rednersville W.I. has had the honour of producing four District W.I. presidents â€" Mrs. Stanton Fox, Miss Audra Brickman, Mrs. Earl 0nderdonk and Mrs. Alfred Cairns. Miss Brick- man also served as Chairman of the W.I. area. Many anniversary celebrations have been held over the years. Rednersville W.I. has entertaine and been entertained by the other branches. There have been bus trips, picnics, short courses, plant tours, and always interesting and instructive programmes and happy fellowship. February, 1988
