A L B U R Y C H U R C H Cont'd At a trustee's meeting in June, 1926, the secretaryâ€"treasurer was authorized to get the deed to the land for the Church copied and registered. Thus a letter from a law firm in Belleville, dated March 13, 1928 states "that the Memorial is registered in Book "Q" for the Township of Ameliasburg. Trustees for 1926 were Harry Peck, chairman: Earl Weese, secretaryâ€"treasurer: John onderdonk, Earl Bonter, Roy Williamson, Frederick Dempsey and Frank Dempsey. Other persons appointed over the years included Joseph Allison in 1928. An entry in the minute book of the time says "that the change of reSidence of Fred Dempsey automatically disqualifies him for the office of Trustee and in his place Joseph Allison be appointed." In 1946 Harold Bonter was appointed to fill the vacancy caused by the death of his father, Earl Bonter.
