On June nth, 1967 Victoria Sunday School celebrated its one hundredth Anniversary. An overflow congregation of former members and friends gathered for the two o'clock service. The Reverend Maurice McLeod, pastor of the Church, conducted the service. The guest speaker was the Reverend Verne Zufelt of Picton United Church. A solo by Mrs. Zufelt "Spirit of God" was much enjoyed. The children of the Sunday School sang "Birds are Singing" and "Canada", while the Senior choir all in centennial costumes sang "The Old Church Bell" The large congregation worâ€" shipped in a most beautiful setting of flowers, many of them memorial flowers given in memory of departed relatives. After the service all were invited to the Sunday School room where many mementos of Victoria's early days were on display â€" family albums, newspaper clippings of events, Bibles given as awards, pictures, lists of superintendents and teachers who had served the Sunday School through the years. A beautifully decorated anniversary cake centred the tea table.
