REDHETSVILLE SCHOOL (SS N0. 2 AMELIASBURG) Cont‘d In 1938 a Music Supervisor was hired â€" Miss Velma Vanderwater agreed to teach thirty lessons at $2.00 a lesson. In 1952 the school was so overâ€"crowded that it was decided by the school trustees that the Sunday School Room of Rednersville United Church in the Village Of Rednersville be used as the Primary School. Hrs. Stafford was the teacher for Grades 1, 2 and 3. Miss Howe taught the Senior School. The primary grades continued to use this church hall building for fourteen years. In 1955 discussion began regarding a new school because both schools were too small to accomodate the large number of children, about 85 at this time. It was decided a threeâ€"room school was definitely needed. A lot 300' by 500' was purchased from Leon Hard. The new school was completed late in 1956 - a Very attractive threeâ€"room school with a teachers room, Utility room, boys and girls washrooms. In 1959 the old school was sold to Ross Roblin for the sum of $600.00 on condition that the building be torn down and the ground levelled within three months of the transfer of title. 5.3 Z. abouf [filo Pfd‘ure dcnq+¢d by Allan DemF5977177/
