This should bring out some interesting answers. The meet» ing will be Jan. 18, 2007. There were 20 members and three guests at our December meeting held in Wellington on the Lake. It was a lot of fun. We had several Christmas talks on singing toys, from Santas t0 ducks. Several Christmas readings, Irish jokes and other kinds of jokes; only one member paid. We were delighted to welcome back Marjory to our merry band; we pray she will be able to attend our 2007 meetings in better health than in 2006. Our condolences went out to Joyce at the sudden lost of her young son-in-law. The gifls this year were spectacu- larâ€" from different kinds of candles, ornaments, and toi- letries to everything in between. We sang several carols while Peggy played the piano. As always. a wonderful lunch was provided by the Wellington on the Lake ladies. Nina provided a beautiful iced cake for dessert and Pat’s husband thoughtfully provided another fancy sweet. We filled 24 tins with biscuits for several local people. most ofthe cookies being homemade. The quilt that members worked on and then put together last month was displayed. This will be sent to a family as part ofthe Children's Aid program. Items were collected from members for Children's Aid in Picton. BR. MACKELLAR. Piclun
