Members Honored for Work in W.I. Mrs. Clifford Smith was honored at the Dec.4/76 meeting of Consecon w.I. for her work in the local branch. Bessie was Pres. of the branch h.I. for 6 yrs. and served as See. for 2% yrs. She then worked on the Dist. executive for 5 yrs. ‘ before becoming Dist. Pres. from 1957-1959. She was a delegate to the First Naional Convention in Ottawa during her term of office. Having been a W.I. member for 46 years she was presented with a Life Membership pin and certificate in recognition of her work. Mrs. Howard Walt was presented with her Life Membership at the June 4th meeting, 1982. Kathleen was a member of Victoria w.I. for several years prior to her marriage in 1940 and also secretary - treasurer.
