"Mmgaé??ém'm / Friday'Juiy 2' / 1993 Sunny skies blessed the 56th annual Zorra Highland Games held at the Embro-West Zorra Community Centre on Canada Day Thursday. A record crowd of more than 5,000 people were in attendance with a special attraction being the 1993 Memorial Tug-of-War Championships honoring the Mighty Men of Zorra who won the world championship in Chicago in 1893. Ten teams competed this year and the winning entry was from South Easthope. Also, 26 Highland dancers from Scotland took part in the dance competition , [4' and seven bands participated in the massed bands parade.
