Skaters, coaches, parents and board members gathered to- ggether at the Embro and West 3 it ZorIa Community Centre. Recognition was, given to all the amateur coaches for their time given to the club. in total, 45 awards were given to shadow coaches, Canskate in- structors and Can?gure Skate instructors. The meeting ended with the election of board directors. The 1996-97 board ofdirectors are: Ann Chalkley, Gord Graves, Grant lnnes, Wayne MacKinnon, Cassie McCorq-uodale, Karen Murray, Pauline Piett, Joanne Proulx, Deb Roefs and Sandra Schurman. The brownies'had lots of knowledgeable and :interesting answers for chief Don during their visit to the Embro Fire Hall on their last meeting night.' ChiefShewan displayed various equipment compartments of the two fire trucks to show items like the oxygen tanks, protective clothing and the 'jaws of life.' Marlene Matheson was organist and the soloist was Michelle Seguin. Sherry McLeod, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Anne Seguin, friend of the bride, and Catherine Le Feuvre, cousin of the bride. The best man was Daren Le Blanc. The groomsmen were Scott and Brent Francis, bro-- thers of the groom. The ushers were the bride's. brothers, Stephen and Robert McLeod. Following a reception at the Festival Inn, the couple hpneymooned at Cancun, Mexico.
