Rear row: John, Catherine, Lindsay and Hilliard. The North Family Lots 31 & 32, Concession 13 William North was born in 1821 in County Tyrone in Northern Ireland. He came to Canada in the 1840‘s and settled near Huttonsville, Shincushie township which is near Brampton, Ontario. He was married twice. He had one son, Sam, to his first wife and when she died Sam‘s maternal grandparents took him and raised him. Sam lived at Palmerston, Ontario. William‘s second wife was Hanna Parker, also from Strabane, 'ljyx’ong County, Northern Ireland. Their children‘s names were: Jim, Bill, Tom, Joe, Jonathon and Jemima. Tom lived at Niagara Fa.lls', Ontario, Bill and Jim went to Pittsburgh, U.S.A. and William and Hanna with Joe, Jemima and Jonathon moved to the Dunchurch area in 1871. They left Huttonsville with a wagon and ox but sold the ox when they reached Owen Sound because it was goimmg to be too expensive to ship it. They boarded the Waubuno and sailed to Parry Sound where William purchased a horse and headed north to Lots 34 and 35, Concession 11 in Croft Township. £1 L
