This was the W.I‘s Centennial Project.The benches were made by Parry Bros Concrete Products. Receiving the generous gift was J.J.Gibson, Reeve of the Village who is seated on one of the benches with Mrs. Gordon Robertson ‘ president of the W.I.Standing left to rightâ€"â€"Mrs. S.A.Cawker past president of Honeydale,also past president of the District and at present District Curstor.(Mrs. J.N.} Meary Hardy also a past president,comprised the committee which looked after this project. Two benches are located infront of the Bowling Green,one infront of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and the fourth in Palmer Memorial Fark. On the plaque readsâ€"â€"DONATZD BY HONEYDALE W.I. SsULX 1967. This plagus was put on by Mir. George Barthau,a retired Toronto Fireman,who now makes his home in Port Perry along with his wife Alice who is a very valuable institute member.
