Lord Tweedsmuir born John Buchan in Sceotland, August 25th,1875, the son of Rev. John Buchan.Historian, novelist and Governorâ€" General of _ Canada from 1935 to 199D. Called to the Bar in 1901. From 1927 to 1985 he was a member of British House of Commons for Scottish Universities In 1935 he was titled (Baron Tweedsmuir". He died in Montreal on > February ll1th. 1940. His library was bequeathed ro Queen‘s Universxa‘l*y at Kingston. Lady Tweedsmuir: Susan, wife of our beloved Governorâ€" General, has â€"* written many plays, children‘s books and reminiscences. She was an ardent W.LI. member in England,and made an Honorary Ltfe Member of F.W.I.0O.
