sCcVGOC CENTRE UNITED CHURCH BURNED June 10, 1911 Centre church burned to ground. Although the men fought . bravely to save the building lack of equipment and water made this impossible. The parsonage, barn and garage were saved,. This church was moved from the farm of Fred Jackson in 1868. PRINCE ALBERT CHURCH CELEBRATES SEVENTY FIVE YEARS The orignal church was a frame building which was destroyed by fire in 186 or 1865. Although it was winter everyons in the community worked to rebuild the church, the men hauled brick from a brick yard in Whitby and during the following surmer many "bbes" were held to get the work done. The church was probably ready for services by the winter of 1866 . The brick building received repairs and renovations in the year 1900 and other reapirs in 1905.
