Celebrations took place in many of the Branches of the Women‘s Institute this year( 1972 ) because it was the T5th Anniversary of the founding ‘ of this organization. Over 1,600 Institute members from across the Province attended the 75th Anniversary Luncheon in the Royel York Eotel February 12, when the Internstional President of Essex England was the guest speaker, Mrs. Olive Farquharson .Among the members from Honeydale W.I. attending was Mrs. Mabel Cawker who is a Provincial Board Director of Subdivision 8.
