C "French River Communities and their cultures", is a project that was started three years ago. It covers all aspects of small communities: historical, geographgical, political, economical and . social. This year, it was completed with Monetville and the Dokis Indian Reserve. This project was compiled during the summer of 1976 by the joint efforts of its four members: Dawn Sauder (leader), Francine Mayer, Jocelyne Therrien and Francoise Carriere. . We were sponsored by the Ministry of Education with the collaboration of the Sudbury Board of Education, through an Experience ‘76 Grant. Experience ‘76 operated on government grants providing summer employment for as many students as possible. We hope our local schools as well as our heritage will benefit from this educational kit produced! \ . &
