Banfield, who had remarried and had two step-sons, lived for a time in St.Paul, hinnesota but later in Santa Barbara, California. After his second wife died he came back to Ontario end made his home at Kinburn with his son, Pat who had built a store and Frozen Food plant there. Banfield died in 1962. The next year Myrtle retired from the Postmastership after twenty-csrv,ea; yearszork and Edna took over. The store had meanwhile been made over into a self-service establishment and in contrast to the old days, almost everything was sold in packages.
