A Branch of the Women's Institute was organized in Bela in 1915 which I Joined during that year, and have held various offices at Branch, District, and Area levels, and served on the Provincial Board of the Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario representing Subdivision 25 of the Northern Area for the years 1961-62-63. I have active in many community projects, am a member of the United Church, and have held several positions in the United Church Women's organization. I have also been church organist for many years. My father was a Canadian Pacific Railway man, and when the rails reached Bale. in 1908 our family came to Bala to reside. Married ,and have two sons and one daughter. I was then 10 years of age, and Bale. has been my home since that time. I was born Provincial Board Director 1961-62-63. Mrs. SJ.
