Guest-speaker was Joyce Buchegger, above centre.-a Castieton resident who served as a missionary in South America tor 17 years. Beside her is the service leader, Sharon Rusk, of the host church. This year's service, "Go, See, and Act," was written by the Christian women of war-torn Palestine. Each year, the service is corn- pased by Christian women of different countries. Local worshippers found it very appwprl- ate that the women on Palestine were given the opportunity to orchestrate this year's ser- vice, at this especially troubled time in their county's history. Participants in the World Day of Prayer gather every year to pray for world peace. Photo by Eileen Argyris -----, The Colborne Chronicle, Tuesday. March 8, 1994 @315 RrrmTitct-g [at TTT7 Page 5
