4 East 4 Lot. 26 Concession 10, EAst Zorra James Bigham was born in Etobicoke township of York County on Sept. 13th 1816. He married Elizabeth Webber, daughter of Robert Webber and Rachel Gill. She was born Nov. 24th, 1824. The Webber family came from New York State by way of Toronto where she met James Bigham and they wersmarried in 1844. They lived for a few years in Islington, York © County. In 1847 they came to East Zorra obtaining a crown deed for the East Half Lot 26, Con. 10. Their first home was a log cabin. Elizabeth died on the farm on April 2nd, 1886 and James fell from a mow while taking in grain and died from his injuries on August 13, 1897.
