4 East 4 Lot. 26 Concession 10, EAst Zorra James Bigham was born in Etobicoke township of York County on Sept. 13th 1816. He married Elizabeth Webber, daughter of Robert Webber and Rachel Gill. She was born Nov. 24th, 1824. The Webber family came from New York State by way of Toronto where she met James Bigham and they wersmarried in 1844. They lived for a few years in Islington, York © County. In 1847 they came to East Zorra obtaining a crown deed for the East Half Lot 26, Con. 10. Their first home was a log cabin. Elizabeth died on the farm on April 2nd, 1886 and James fell from a mow while taking in grain and died from his injuries on August 13, 1897. They are both buried in the Baptist Rural Cemetery in sight of their home.Their family were, Joseph Bigham, born 1845: Edwin Bigham born May 24 1847; Elizabeth Ann Bigham born July 23 1849; Louis John Bigham, born Nov. 9th, 1851Mary Ellen Bigham born, April 23, 1854; Alice Jane Bigham, born Nov. 7th, 1857; Ida Louise Bigham, born July 24, 1859; Nelsonm Webber Bigham, born Dec. 9th, 1862, and his twin Norman Wesley Bigham, born Dec. 9th, 1862 In 1908 Louis John Bigham and his wife Emily Veale took over the home farm.He sold the ferm to Ben McGregor who in turn sold it to Oscar Weaver. Norman Weaver took over from his father and Russell Yausie bought the farm in The buildings have been removed and .
