NWk. _Lot 33, Concession 11, East Zorra £03 This property was jointly owned by John and William C. Bel1l, purchased in 1851.0n March 25th, 1859, John and Annie Bell took possesion of the NW§j. They erected the usual farm buildings and continued to clear the land. They had four children, William Murray Bel1l, born in Scotland, Mary and Magdelena who both died young and John Stewart Bellwho was only one year old when his father died at the early age of 45 years and 9 months, on Nov. 23, 1863. John Bell willed his farm to his wife Annie and young son John Stewart Bell the older son William Murray Bell was 15 so along with his mother carried on the farm.Wm Murray Bell was called "Billy Bell" as was his uncle Wm. C. Bell. Billy Bell married Lena Broderick and they had a family of six, Annie, Ellen, Jane, Jessie, Elizabeth and John Jr. The mother Annie died in 1888 and John S. continued to live with his brother until he was married to Matilda (Tilly) Broderick. They moved to the SW sold to him by his uncle Wm. C Bell. in 1894. On March 10th, 1894, John S. Bell sold the NW§g to his brother Wm. M. (Billy Bell. On April lst, 1919 Lena Bell widow of Wm. Murray Bell sold the NW§jg to William Krantz The farm has been owned in later years by Glenn Schwartzentruber, Mr. Hoiting, Mr. Paton and the Still family.
