Kids create quilts for cancer patients Last week, the students in Ms. Mills‘ morning and afternoon kindergarten classes at St. Marys Central School created quilting blocks out of fabric donated by Kristine Fink, owner of Simply Sew. Other blocks were made by Fink, Mills and Central School‘s principal Janet Jamison. Two quilts will be sewn by volunteers and when completeéd they will be sent to Victoria‘s Quilts Canada, a charity which brings comfort to young cancer patients.
