Of the 11 volunteer firefighters to be recognized that evening from Uniondale, eight were congratulated for 30 years of service and three for 20 years. Those presented with their 30 years of serâ€" ‘vice awards are the original members of the Uniondale Fire Department when it was established in 1976. The community is : proud of "Uniondale‘s Finest" and appreciates what they have done over the years.
