The meeting was opened with singing the Institute Ode. The. Roll Call was answered by naming Beauty spots.in Peel : County. (~ C This being the Twentyâ€"fifth,or Silver Anniversary of 7 our Institute,an invitation was extended to past presidents, es and Secretaries. Mrs.W.W.Wilkinson,"irst president of the Cheltenham branch presided,and gave a short address on"When the Institute was Founded,and named the Presidents and Secretaries,.who have held offilce to 1930. Greetings,and short talks were given by the past Presidâ€" â€"ents. b Mrs.W.W.Wilkinson,Mrs.Jack McQuarrie,Mrs.Thomas Lyons, Mrs.George Love,VUrs.A.T.Haines,Mrs.John Troughton,Mrs.Wilbert Wilkinson.Atributec6f respect was pald to Miss Mary Hunter, the only president who has passed away. Short addresses were given by Miss McIntosh,Mrs.wWn.Mcâ€" Clure and Mrs.J.Forter. Mrs.J.A.McBride of Malton,%ave an excellent address on "The Rural Women‘s Opportunities",Women‘s duty lies in doing her best,no matter what office she may have,try to leave it just a little better,as one good turn is a stepping stone to something higher.Have less concern for Honour and Glory,set aside petty jealousiessand allow the sun a chance to smile on your face,she also said"Nationality"is not the biggest thing on earth,but "Humanity".Good housekseping is not a necessity to good home making,what is it all,if your body is shelteredâ€" and the soul starved.What we need in our homes and communities, is to practise good will to all. Musical numbers were given by Miss Evelyn Lyons and! | Miss Mariam Haines. A reading by Miss Floella Henderson on"The Maple Leaf\l Miss Elizabeth‘ Campbell,read an address to Miss F.Henderson j and Mrs.J.Moddison presented her with a pearl necklace and a Birthday book on behalf of the Institute. Miss Henderson expressed her appreciation in a few well chosen words.
