Over 100 people attended the levee, the first one held in Chesley since the town's centennial in 1980. As well, more than 50 people took in free skating during the afternoon. The levee offered an opportunity to reflect on the past year and stir up excitement for the Town of 1lhesley's. 115th birthday on June 27, 1995 and its week-long Homecoming celebration June 27 to July 3. Members of the Chesley Citizens' Band provided Ttertai.nment throughout the afternoon and area politicians, including Hanover Mayor Bob White and Elderslie Township Reeve Carmen Fullerton brought greetings, offering their best wishes and support for Homecoming.
