- 1927 Loan Gilbert, Whicher, and Caudle are a few of the names on this plaque in Colpoy's Bay Community Hall. Many of their ancestors continue to live in the Bruce Peninsula area. There are one hundred and twenty names on this plaque to commemorate these individuals who donated their time and or money to pay off the loan to build the Colpoy's Bay Community Hall in 1927. The hall is truly a community centre where concerts, weddings, funerals, birthdays, fund raisers, dinners and our WI meetings are held.
We are grateful for these pioneers' devotion to establishing a community centre where folks from the village and surrounding areas can enjoy the arts and the camaraderie of their friends and neighbours - Notes
