- Tec WE Gwill Rolling Stones
(Carla Beckett, Corrina Gibson, Linda Beckstead, Donna Jebb)
As members of the Tec-We-Gwill Women’s Institute, we can say that in our team, we grow no moss. There are always many wonderful activities to participate in.
In this scavenger hunt challenge, we have chosen as our theme – the Rolling Stones.
Of the four members of our team, Donna has decorated her rock with “Light Me Up,” and is hiding it in the WI hall in Newton Robinson hoping to inspire other women to join the WI.
Corrina went with the famous Mick Jagger lips icon, and she will hide her rock in her garden for her little year and a half old granddaughter to discover. When she is older, Corrina will explain the work of the WI to her and tell stories of the music we listened to back in the day.
Linda chose Brown Sugar, which depicts the hardships and challenges women of colour face, all while remaining true to herself and sweet. Linda will hide her rock for her granddaughter to find – she just graduated university with honours and will face challenges of her own in her new job as manager of a tennis club.
Carla chose Wild Horses and Paint It Black for her rock and will hide it in her son’s garden. He enjoys rock n roll and will love finding it there.
