Clue #4 Braemar Wee Lassies
A Suggested plan of Approach
For our Tim Horton’s scavenger Hunt
On Fri. August 26 th , 2 PM

At Timmy’s off 59 Highway between Lakeview and Ridgewood

Before our designated day, my team concurred to the plan described below so our efforts would come
together smoothly and quickly. We agreed that having specific jobs upon arrival would make our
assignment easily achievable and it was.

“ANYA- (persuader) ---suggested words….to a lady behind her ….introduce our group
and explain to the person that we are participating in a province wide W.I. Scavenger
hunt, have they heard of W.I. and would they be willing to play along with us for a free
beverage. When a willing participant is confirmed, ask them if they are okay with having
their photo taken while receiving a W.I. book mark. (Photo to be taken here) Then invite
the person to sit with us so we can tell her about our work maybe focus first on one that
really is significant.

BERNICE – (photographer) - gives each person a book mark and two to Anya
- will be busy taking several shots, especially the one where Anya hands the willing
participant the bookmark.
SUE – (scribe) takes notes of the conversation to hand to Bernice later for typing up the
report.
BARB – (arranger) first in line to buy her beverage then go ahead of us to find a table
for eventually five.”
.
The above plan basically worked quite well although we were somewhat angst
wondering how accepting our target person might be but Anya being a confident lady
performed well in her role as persuader. It also seemed there were an unusually high
number of couples and men (just when you don’t need them) initially coming through
the door so we began to wonder how many hours it would take and how many cups of
tea to hold our spot and achieve our goal. Eventually a lady arrived solo who was willing
to go along with our plan.

Anya presented the bookmark to Deb Ryerse after
she indicated an interest in hearing about Women’s
Institute and our community projects.
