Description
The “Lunch Bunch “ enjoy going on a little rendezvous to Tim Hortons. On Sept. 1st, we met at the Tim Hortons in Winchester at 11:30 for lunch. We beat the crowd. Helen had experience with Clue #4 and brought a picture of her outing along with the following story for members to read.

“On May 31st, 2014, I took Kristian, Mikayla and Justin to CORA’S for breakfast. When I asked for the bill, it had been paid by the man at the table behind us who had given the waitress this note to give to me.
“Allow me to pay for your breakfast. Thank you for having such well-behaved grandchildren. Obviously their parents and yourself have instilled great values in them.
Have a great Sunday. All the best.”

Our group selected a solitary lady, Gillian, that we thought might be a good candidate for our project. Norma paid for her chili and coffee and explained our project and that we were members of the Women’s Institute which is an international organization that promotes personal growth and community betterment.
We explained that we are hosting a meeting on Sept. 20th in the Vernon Presbyterian Church to make local people aware of the new Dundas Manor long term care home that is scheduled to be built to replace the present facility which opened in April 1978. The guest speakers will talk about the new facility, resident care, activities, fund raising, answers to our questions, etc.
Gillian accepted our bookmark and our request to be in our group photo.

We’re looking forward to Clue # 5.
