October is the month of harvest, of giving thanks, the month to enjoy the fruits of one’s labour, the month to prepare our gardens and fields for the winter months ahead. It is a busy month but one to celebrate!
Our Wish Team gathered with pumpkins in hand and enjoyed an afternoon of creativity, sociability, and thanksgiving! There have been crops harvested, grandbabies born and busy lives to chat about since our last gathering in August.
Our theme with our pumpkin faces was including the WI initials in our carving. We each carved our pumpkin with speed and dexterity. After a break for refreshments, we went outside to use Nature’s chilly palette as our backdrop. Our costumes were authentic...that of Canadian farmers and Grandmothers!!
Happy Hallowe’en Everyone and a continued Safe Harvest!
