TWENTY-FIVE YEARS FOR HOME AND COUNTRY The New Hamburg Women's Institute was organized November 29th, 1921 by Miss Emily Guest of the Women's Institute Branch of the Department of -Agriculture, Toronto and Mrs. Cassel. District President of South Waterloo W.I. Miss Guest explained the origin and growth of the W.I., also aims of the organization. Twenty-two ladies were present. The motion to organize such a society in New Hamburg was made by Mrs. Lewis Hahn and seconded by Miss C.M. Graff. First Officers elected were Mrs. H. L. Albrecht - President Mrs. Geo. Merner - 1st Vice-President Miss Mary Puddicombe - 2nd Vice-President Mrs. A. F. Hahn - Secretary Mrs. R. W. Anderson - Treasurer Mrs. J. Messner - Director, two more to be appointed Mrs. A. 1, Coombs - District Director It was decided to hold Meetings on the first Monday of each month at 7.30 Membership fees were not paid at this meeting
